You are only ever one choice away from change.

Ready to set your quest for happiness into high gear?

Ready to spend some time focusing on yourself?

These are three tremendously impactful books to help set you on your way.

1.      You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Haye

“Remember, you have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”

“Think thoughts that make you happy. Do things that make you feel good. Be with people who make you feel good. Eat things that make your body feel good. Go at a pace that makes you feel good.”

Published in 1984, this New York Times bestseller has sold over 50 million copies and was translated into 30+ languages, making it one of the best-selling non fiction books of all time. The premise is simple – that our thoughts create our reality and we are in control of our thoughts. It’s about changing that constant narration in our head telling us that we can’t or are not enough. This highly empowering read teaches us that all healing – physical, emotional and mental will come simply by loving ourselves and changing limiting beliefs brought about by positive affirmations. I first read this book 15+ years ago (and many more times since) and after reading it for the first time, I couldn’t believe that well into my 40s, I hadn’t realized it all before. This book was the start of it all for me on my journey.

2.      The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer

“If you want to be happy, you have to let go of the part of you that wants to create melodrama. This is the part that thinks there’s a reason not to be happy. You have to transcend the personal, and as you do, you will naturally awaken to the higher aspects of your being. In the end, enjoying life’s experiences is the only rational thing to do. You’re sitting on a planet spinning around in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Go ahead, take a look at reality. You’re floating in empty space in a universe that goes on forever. If you have to be here, at least be happy and enjoy the experience. You’re going to die anyway. Things are going to happen anyway. Why shouldn’t you be happy? You gain nothing by being bothered by life’s events. It doesn’t change the world; you just suffer. There’s always going to be something that can bother you, if you let it.”

Every experience in our life (our biography) is written into our biology. We all have experiences in life that we stuff down because they are painful. This NYT bestseller teaches you how to let go of past events, so that you are not triggered and affected by them in the future. It teaches you how to separate your true self (your soul self) from your thoughts and emotions and discover a deep sense of inner peace. It shows you too can live authentically in the present moment without resistance.

The Untethered Soul truly changed my perspective about life. The realization that almost every problem is not about the problem itself but about the way my mind was processing the problem brought about true freedom and peace. I cannot recommend this book enough.

3.      Dying to be Me by Anita Moorjani

“When I’m being love, I don’t get drained, and I don’t need people to behave a certain way in order to feel cared for or to share my magnificence with them. They’re automatically getting my love as a result of me being my true self. And when I am nonjudgmental of myself, I feel that way toward others.”

In this New York Times bestseller, the author died. Her organs shut down from late-stage cancer and she was pronounced dead. She recounts the amazing near death experience in detail. But what is truly amazing is what happened next and what she discovers about life. From the very introduction, you won’t be able to put this riveting book down until you read the last page (I stayed up all night reading it). I don’t want to give too much away but the powerful and impactful lesson about loving and accepting ourselves is guaranteed to change your perspective.
